Sunday Traditions

Good morning and Happy Sunday! A friend this morning had posted a video on Facebook of neurons firing in the brain. Now what does that have to do with Sunday? Well everything, because God and his infinite and unfathomable complexity made those neurons! He is so wondrous that we cannot even comprehend how wondrous He really is! Growing up, Sunday was a day of rest. It was a day of the family being together, getting up and going to church and mom put on the Sunday roast and handed each of us our offering quarter to put in envelopes to give to the Sunday School teacher.  Mom was so busy. Somehow I don't think she ever really rested much but she did take time in the afternoon to do her own thing, just a little bit. She liked to sew, and it and listening to hymns were two of her favorite things. So while we kids were off in our rooms pursuing hobbies, the hymns Mom played filled our house with music and with it, peace.  My Dad spent his afternoons reading the bible and other books....
